Sage Accounts : Introduction including the understanding of manual accounting.

Course Aims

The Basic knowledge required to operate the Sage 50. Delegates will be shown maintaining ledger accounts, inputting opening balances and processing journals through to production of VAT and relevant management reports.

In addition, delegates will cover bank transactions and reconciliation, plus the maintenance and use of the Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledgers and the Product file including the production of invoices.  In all, it provides a solid background for the day-to-day use of the Sage accounts package in a commercial environment.

New to Sage software, studying AAT/ICB accounts or requiring an update on their knowledge.

Course Aims

This training course takes participants beyond the basics of day-to-day bookkeeping, and into the use of Sage accounts for prepayments, accruals, depreciation, contra payments and global changes. It also deals with currencies (including the Euro). Delegates will acquire practical experience as well as an enhanced knowledge of Sage Line 50 and the accounting principles behind it.

Suitable for a Sage software user, studying AAT or ICB accounts.

Sage Payroll - Beginners Course

Course Aims

Clear and practical explanations of how to set up and run a sage 50 payroll system.  The system (Version 20) has been chosen as it is widely used both by business and by training providers.

Demonstrates the processing of weekly payroll, includes setting up and amending a payroll system, processing weekly payroll including a pension scheme, dealing with new employees and leavers, dealing with deductions, backing up data and producing reports.

Suitable for New to sage payroll software, studying AAT Computerised Payroll Skils unit or ICB Payroll


This training is provided using the Osborne Workbook - Computerised Payroll Skills, based on a case study with activities and solutions from the book.  A copy of the book is provided for you to take home and refer to (RRP £18).
